Georgia Aviation Technical College Celebrates New ATC Program and Gallium's Advanced ATC Radar Simulation Lab

OTTAWA, CANADA, 16 October 2006, -- Georgia Aviation Technical College (GAVTC) announced today the commissioning of its new ATC program and Gallium Visual Systems' advanced high fidelity ATC radar simulation lab. The lab was provided as part of GAVTC's new ATC training program.

"We are very pleased with Gallium's ability to provide us the high fidelity ATC radar simulation we needed. This gives GAVTC advanced ATC training capability not found elsewhere," stated Andy Lundell, President of GAVTC. "GAVTC's focus is to provide our students with the very best education experience and technical training possible - and that includes our new ATC program."

John Hunt, GAVTC's ATC Program Director, noted that "Our students will not only learn all about ATC skills development in our simulation lab, but they will also accumulate a vast amount of ATC systems experience including DSR and Common ARTS. Our goal is for GAVTC program graduates to be able to walk into an ATC facility and be prepared to work the current and future operational ATC systems and displays." John went on to explain "Gallium demonstrated an excellent professional attitude and program execution that we really appreciated. They have helped us repeatedly and that kind of business relationship translates into success for everyone."

"Gallium's ATC simulation focus is high fidelity simulation via our I-SIM product, and we leverage our core technologies to do that including the use of InterMAPhics. We can rapidly provide customers with display emulation and simulation technology. In addition, as operational ATC systems revolutionize, Gallium can support those changes, enabling our customers to move forward," said Bob DeRoode, Vice President, ATC Systems. GAVTC needed a total turnkey solution, and Gallium provided that including our I-Connect communications system, in addition to consoles and all other hardware and software.
