ATC Programs
Oceanic Control Systems
InterMAPhics is used for the controller displays in NAV CANADA's oceanic ATC systems, referred to as the Gander Automated Air Traffic System (GAATS). The Gander Situation Display (GSiT) increases the controllers situation awareness by integrating radar, ADS and flight plan data and allowing the controllers to pan, zoom and highlight specific data. Navigation aides such as range-bearing lines and predicted track lines help the controller to increase safety and efficiency.
Tower/Surface Systems
InterMAPhics was used to prototype and to specify the US FAA Air Surface visualization requirements (ASDE-X).
Terminal/Enroute Systems
InterMAPhics is used in a number of active terminal or enroute systems, including NAV CANADA's Radar Situation display (RSiT) which is an early roll out of the Canadian Automated Air Traffic System (CAATS). RSiT integrates real-time radar and weather data onto one. InterMAPhics is also used in human factors studies to test improvements to DSR terminals.
